Interview with managing partners of “Casa do Lagar de Tazem”
The managing partners of “Casa do Lagar de Tazem”, the latest tourist attraction in the region, with a whole museum dedicated to the production of olive oil, answered several questions from our technical after installation of minigolf course of model Challenge Golf, 18 lanes . How did the idea of investing in accommodation and tourism here in Tazem emerge?
There was an old oil mill that was about to fall and so we decided to recover it and make a place for tourism.
A person that come to visit Tazem and stay in this space, what can expect, what your space has to offer?
Who visit us can expect comfort, good atmosphere and a visit to the Mill Museum.
In this area, what are the interest points of greatest importance or the strengths of this region?
The offer of this region is varied. There is the Cooperative Winery of Tazem and we are 1 hour away from the tower of the Serra da Estrela, 7 km from Seia and 12 km from Gouveia.
How did the idea to implement a minigolf course in your space emerge?
In Switzerland we had the opportunity to play and we have fallen in love, we consider it a good attraction to bring tourists.
The minigolf was your first option as leisure and fun element to this space?
Yes, it was always the minigolf, only after we thought about petanca and bicycles.
In your opinion, why the minigolf is an asset?
We believe that the minigolf is an excellent choice to attract more tourists to our area as a result of our experience in Switzerland.
There are still some finishes and only within a few months guests can start using this space. In your opinion, is going to be parents to encourage children to play or children to encourage their parents?
Both.
We know that you have lived long in Switzerland, how the minigolf is viewed in this country? It is different from the way the Portuguese look to the minigolf in Portugal?
In Switzerland the minigolf is a hobby with a lot of enthusiasm from the public as fun. In Portugal is more unknown.
There are many people playing minigolf in Switzerland, more than in Portugal? Why do you think this happens?
There is. Because there are more courses and they play minigolf longer.
Do you recommend the implementation of minigolf at other hotel units? What are the main reasons?
Yes, it is an asset and a beautiful attraction.
Do you recommend Lusogolfe to a friend who was interested in installing minigolf?
